Congratulations to the Dural Rugby Club who are the 2024 Cequence Big Club Champions.
The Dural Rugby club fielded nine (9) competition teams in 2024. These were in the U10B, U10E, U11C, U12A, U12F, U13B, U14A, U15B & U16B competitions. With the U16B team being a joint venture team with Northern Barbarians. A big spread of points earnt across these teams made it a truly ‘club’ effort across the grades.
Well done to all involved.
A huge thanks to Glen Maloney and Cequence for their support of this championship.
The Merrylands club fielded three (3) competition teams in 2024. These were in the U10A, U11A & U13C competitions. The Merrylands story in 2024 is one that typifies the ethos behind the club championship – their U11 team pushed themselves to compete in the A grade competition this year, winning only two games all season. But it is one of these few victories and the extra 2 x competition points achieved that made the difference for Merrylands to top the Club Championship table – proving that this is truly an ‘all of club’ effort.
Well done to all involved.
A huge thanks to Glen Maloney and Cequence for their support of this championship.
Well done Hunters Hill Junior Rugby Union on running another cracking version of Dufficy Cup – a whole heap of players, parents and officials are now ready for U10 rugby in 2025.
The Cequence Club Championship is designed to acknowledges the best Performing ‘Clubs’ as a whole, taking in to account all the teams in the various competition Age groups for the XV’s competitions over the regular season.
To reduce the impact of statistical anomalies, and to try to compare like for like, we will run three (3) separate Club Championships – A BIG Club Championships (clubs with 6 teams or more) & a SMALL Club Championships (clubs with 2 to 5 teams) and the SINGLE Club Championship (clubs with only 1 team)
The aim of such a championship is to build club spirit where the lower grade teams contribution is seen to be just as important as the A Grade teams.
Points are calculated by using the total competition points each team has earned over the regular season. To account for the various strengths of grades, these points are then multiplied by a ‘grade’ multiplier. The total is then divided by the number of teams the club has.
🏆You take the competition points each team earns during the regular season and multiply them by the appropriate multiplier associated with the grade they are playing. • A Grade – multiply by 2.0 • B Grade – multiply by 1.8 • C Grade – multiply by 1.6 • D Grade – multiply by 1.4 • E Grade – multiply by 1.2 • F Grade or lower – multiply by 1.0 • Ungraded comps – multiply by 1.5 • Div 1 Comps split off after round 9 – multiply by 1.75 🏆Once multiplied – Add all these points together for all the teams in the club and then divide them by the number of teams that the club has. 🏆Any team that has moved UP an Age group shall receive and additional multiplier of 0.4 added • Ie an U12A team that moves to the U13C comp shall receive a multiplier of 2.0 (1.6 plus extra 0.4) giving the effect of ‘A Grade’ multiplier. 🏆Clubs that breach the Yellow/Red Card acceptable tolerances are deemed ineligible to win the Club Championships

⚓️ ONE round to go for the SJRU XV’s competitions. 🪜 Ladders are updated. 🏆 Race is on for various teams to make their Finals. But as a collective the Clubs also compete for the Club Championships. As the SJRU competitions have multiple clubs with differing numbers of teams playing in various ‘Graded Comps’, the Cequence Club Championship has three levels to compare clubs on a like-for-like basis.
These are 🏆 Cequence Big Club Championship (clubs with 6 or more teams) 🏆 Cequence Small Club Championship (clubs with 2 to 5 teams) 🏆 Cequence Single Club Championships (clubs with only 1 team)
Points are calculated on the number of competition points each team earns – multiplied by a ‘grade’ factor depending on what level of competition they are in and then divided by the number of teams the club fields. 📈
Like the Brownlow Medal – clubs that breach set disciplinary standards are deemed ineligible for the Club Champs for that season. ⚖️
Congrats to all the clubs and teams and good luck for the last two rounds. A huge thanks to Cequence for supporting these Championships. www.cequence.ai/

The SJRU competitions are about to enter their last two rounds before finals, and knowing what a wet winter it has been, we thought we’d do some analysis on how the ‘big wet’ affected junior rugby across Sydney this season. 🌧⛈
We are thrilled to announce that the Sydney Junior Rugby 2024 season has been jammed packed with plenty of rugby games played! We had a total of 1565 games scheduled across the various XV’s age groups from U10 to U18. 🏆
Despite the challenges presented by the weather, our teams have shown remarkable resilience. 🌧⛈ Out of these scheduled games, 1489 games were still played, reflecting an impressive commitment from both players and organizers. This means that only 4.8% of games were lost due to wet weather in the first 10 rounds.
A huge thanks to all our fantastic clubs, councils and team managers who kept the show on the road. Here’s to a fantastic finish to our season 🏉 minimal disruptions and maximum enjoyment for everyone involved!
The various clubs have worked so well together to make this happen! Amazing to have such a small impact for the scale of the weather events thrown at us! Well done all and well done to Ben, John and Shane at the Sydney Junior Rugby Union for facilitating it all!
Thank you to all those clubs who made their fields available so that this could happen, massive congratulations to the junior rugby community.
It’s ridiculous not to play in the wet.
How you going to

Cequence Big Club Championship 2024
Congratulations to the Dural Rugby Club who are the 2024 Cequence Big Club Champions.
The Dural Rugby club fielded nine (9) competition teams in 2024. These were in the U10B, U10E, U11C, U12A, U12F, U13B, U14A, U15B & U16B competitions. With the U16B team being a joint venture team with Northern Barbarians. A big spread of points earnt across these teams made it a truly ‘club’ effort across the grades.
Well done to all involved.
A huge thanks to Glen Maloney and Cequence for their support of this championship.

Cequence Small Club Championship 2024
Congratulations to the Merrylands Junior Rugby Club who are the 2024 Cequence Small Club Champions.

*CEQUENCE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024* 🏆
• A Grade – multiply by 2.0
• B Grade – multiply by 1.8
• C Grade – multiply by 1.6
• D Grade – multiply by 1.4
• E Grade – multiply by 1.2
• F Grade or lower – multiply by 1.0
• Ungraded comps – multiply by 1.5
• Div 1 Comps split off after round 9 – multiply by 1.75
🏆Once multiplied – Add all these points together for all the teams in the club and then divide them by the number of teams that the club has.
🏆Any team that has moved UP an Age group shall receive and additional multiplier of 0.4 added
• Ie an U12A team that moves to the U13C comp shall receive a multiplier of 2.0 (1.6 plus extra 0.4) giving the effect of ‘A Grade’ multiplier.
🏆Clubs that breach the Yellow/Red Card acceptable tolerances are deemed ineligible to win the Club Championships
A huge thanks to Glen Maloney and Cequence for their support of this championship.

*Cequence 2024 Club Championships*
⚓️ ONE round to go for the SJRU XV’s competitions.
🪜 Ladders are updated.
🏆 Race is on for various teams to make their Finals. But as a collective the Clubs also compete for the Club Championships. As the SJRU competitions have multiple clubs with differing numbers of teams playing in various ‘Graded Comps’, the Cequence Club Championship has three levels to compare clubs on a like-for-like basis.
These are
🏆 Cequence Big Club Championship (clubs with 6 or more teams)
🏆 Cequence Small Club Championship (clubs with 2 to 5 teams)
🏆 Cequence Single Club Championships (clubs with only 1 team)
Points are calculated on the number of competition points each team earns – multiplied by a ‘grade’ factor depending on what level of competition they are in and then divided by the number of teams the club fields. 📈
Like the Brownlow Medal – clubs that breach set disciplinary standards are deemed ineligible for the Club Champs for that season. ⚖️
Congrats to all the clubs and teams and good luck for the last two rounds. A huge thanks to Cequence for supporting these Championships. www.cequence.ai/

CELEBRATING JUNIOR RUGBY SEASON 2024

How you going to Learn about wet weather footy feild position short passes etc
